Ms Murray has been an active member of Marine Search and Rescue Victoria at the Southern Peninsula Rescue Squad (SPRS) on the Mornington Peninsula for 18 years.  She has participated in many boat rescues and emergency call outs during her service. SPRS At The Rescue

During the 2018-2019 financial year SPRS responded to 81 “call outs” to emergency situations through the SPRS paging system to members. These “call outs” were initiately largely via the Victorian Water Police. The 2018 – 2019 statistics are an increase of approximately 35% on 2017 -2018.
